Our policy for failed or cancelled appointments is as follows:
At Eastleigh, we understand that life can be hectic and things can crop up at any moment to throw plans into disarray. However, a significant amount of valuable clinical time is wasted when an appointment is not attended or cancelled at the last minute; time which could otherwise have been allocated for the treatment of other patients.
Cancelled appointments, where we are informed prior to the appointment of non-attendance, will not usually incur a charge, if there is a good reason for the cancellation. If it is not possible to keep an appointment, please give us a minimum of 48 hours’ notice so we can offer the appointment time to someone else.
Failed private appointments will incur a charge, which needs to be settled before further appointments can be made.
If private appointments are repeatedly failed or cancelled at short notice we may ask for further appointments to be paid for in advance, where the full cost of the time allocated is paid on booking. In these cases the appointment fee would be charged whether or not you are able to attend.
Under NHS treatment regulations, we reserve the right to withdraw future treatment from patients who fail to attend or cancel at short notice two appointments.
