Teeth whitening

Teeth whitening is a great way of changing the colour of your teeth without damaging them – no drilling or injections are needed!

We first check the teeth and gums to make sure they are healthy. We then take moulds of your upper and lower teeth so that custom-made trays can be constructed. We then show you how to use your whitening gels and then you are ready to start whitening, which usually takes three to four weeks.

A little bit of whitening can go a long way – home whitening is a safe and predictable way of creating a brighter smile without damaging the teeth.

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update

We at Eastleigh Dental Practice have taken the sad and difficult but correct decision; given the circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic to temporarily close our dental practice until further notice.

Routine dentistry involves aerosol generating procedures, and this carries a significant risk in increasing the transmission of the coronavirus.

The best way for us to ensure the safety of the staff and you - our patients, your family, your friends and the rest of the community is to close the surgery for a while. This will help reduce social contact, slow down transmission, not inundate the healthcare system and most importantly reduce the number of fatalities.

We will be contacting all patients who have existing appointments on a month by month basis to cancel them and once we receive further notification from the government as to when we can open, we will arrange new appointments.

During this period of closure, if existing patients experience a dental emergency they can contact the principal dentist 9am to 5pm via email on infoeastleighdental@gmail.com leaving their name, a contact number and the nature of the emergency. According to new NHS guidance the outcome will be advice, painkillers, possible antibiotics or a referral via a Local Urgent Dental Care system only.

Outside of these hours if the emergency involves pain that cannot be controlled by painkillers, swelling, trauma you must contact 111, who will guide you through various options.

Stay safe and let's hope this will all be over soon!
